Who We Are: Our Philosophy and Process

A design always starts with who lives there, how they want to live in those spaces and what is important to them. How do they want to feel there?

What is nature already doing in this space, and how we could work with these elements. How can we honor the magic of this place? We work with the clients’ vision and develop a theme, often from art or something meaningful on the site, to create a deep sense of meaning in the landscape.

We move through the phases with a sense of exploration, collaboration and thoughtfulness, infusing it with our knowledge, experience and creativity. We collaborate with engineers on stormwater management, conservation commissions on wetland remediation, and with architects and other professionals to develop sustainable solutions in the design and its implementation.
