Inspired by their love of Asian art and landscapes, this couple wanted a modern take on both. Using the fine-art photograph of the arabesque form below as a guide, we imbued the landscape with sensuality and modernity. The sinuous lines in the natural materials contrast with tall granite plinths and a custom gate of brushed aluminum. Picturesque pines surround the bold sculpture of three granite forms, creating a dramatic terrace for lounging. A maze of evergreens stands among swaths of subtle shades of greens.
